Little Update

It's been a while since I posted on the blog because I was focused on several projects these months. Sometimes the life of an artist is crazy who has to dedicate time to developing his own personal work, projects, paintings, digital designs in addition to managing the tasks of being self-employed.
Anyways, I want to tell you what I've been working on since my last post in October.

Blanes Urban Fest

It's been a while, but the hiatus was worth it, especially considering the remarkable mural I had the privilege of creating in Blanes. This coastal town, near Barcelona, provided the canvas for what has undoubtedly become one of my standout murals of the year. The blog will soon feature an exclusive article delving into the details of this extraordinary project. There's something special about creating large-scale art close to home, and Blanes Urban Fest was a testament to that.

Acat - Mexican God of Tattoo

I was also finishing this commission titled Acat for a private client who is a tattoo artist, hence the theme. It is not the first Mexican-themed painting that I have been commissioned to do, in 2022 I painted one related to Tlaloc, the Mexican water god. I love this culture since I have been able to draw inspiration from many elements. We wanted the main figure to be a powerful exotic woman holding a tattoo needle fused with nature. The woman has tattooed elements of Mexican culture such as Quetzalcoatl, the winged serpent and details that the client specifically requested. I also wanted to add plenty of tropical elements to accompany the main figure.

Miami Art Basel: Nina Simone Mural

December brought an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Art Basel event in Miami. I embarked on a project in Overtown, an area grappling with socioeconomic challenges. The goal was clear: to use art as a catalyst for positive change. Immortalizing Nina Simone, an icon, in one mural and capturing the essence of Miami with a vibrant flamingo on another facade, the result was a striking and colorful transformation. Art, in this context, became a powerful tool, highlighting beauty, cultural diversity, and contributing to the revitalization of a community in need.

First Mural of the Year

Every January marks the creation of my first mural of the year, a symbolic "letter of intent" for the months ahead. This year I wanted to merge several important elements in my work such as the figure of women, animes and 3D letters. These works are self-financed by me and I consider it a crucial way to evolve my style.

In January I also had the honor of participating in the new expo organized by Notorious Brand within the Gravity festival. My work is called Gravity and Each artist received non-functional helmets with the challenge of giving them a new life, raising awareness about recycling and becoming aware of the need to take care of the environment. I wanted to transform them into a symbolic representation of an aerosol can, paying homage to two elements of Hip hop culture (graffiti and rap).
