Blockparty Strasbourg: encuentro entre arte y cultura urbana
La temporada de festivales de arte urbano ha comenzado. En marzo, tuve la increíble oportunidad de visitar Tampa para participar en el Reggae Rise Up, donde pude pintar en vivo y sumergirme en la vibrante escena del reggae.
Este fin de semana pasado tuve el placer de viajar a Strasburgo por primera vez. Fui invitado a participar en el Block Party, un evento organizado por Jaek el Diablo, donde artistas de todo el mundo se reunieron para compartir su creatividad.
Para esta ocasión especial, decidí pintar una calavera, un elemento que siempre me ha gustado dibujar porque encuentro fascinante el juego de luces y sombras que se forma en su superficie, creando una sensación de misterio y profundidad en cada trazo.
CALAVERAS COMO REFERENCIA EN EL ARTE
En el mundo del arte, las calaveras han sido una referencia poderosa y recurrente. Su presencia evoca una mezcla de fascinación, intriga y simbolismo en diversas culturas y corrientes artísticas. A lo largo de la historia, las calaveras han sido representadas en pinturas y esculturas.
Uno de los aspectos más cautivadores de las calaveras es el juego de luces y sombras que se forma en su superficie. Las texturas y las formas óseas permiten crear contrastes intrigantes, donde los tonos oscuros y los resplandores de luz cobran vida en cada detalle. Este juego visual no solo crea un efecto estético impactante, sino que también transmite un sentido de profundidad y misterio.
Además de su atractivo visual, las calaveras tienen un significado simbólico profundo. Como artista urbano, las calaveras se han convertido en una referencia constante en mi repertorio artístico. A través del spray busco capturar la esencia de estas figuras icónicas, explorando el juego de luces y sombras para dar vida a mis creaciones.

Me considero afortunado de ser invitado a festivales de arte urbano como Blockparty Strasbourg. Estos eventos no solo me permiten mostrar mi obra, sino que también me brindan la oportunidad de viajar y conectarme con artistas de diferentes partes del mundo, cada uno con sus estilos y perspectivas únicas.
Estrasburgo es la pintoresca ciudad donde tuvo lugar Blockparty. La ciudad tiene una impresionante catedral, una maravilla con intrincados detalles además sus calles tienen influencias francesas y alemanas.
Un aspecto clave en este tipo de eventos es que la comunidad del graffiti, siempre ha sido increíblemente acogedora y divertida. Es un placer estar rodeado de personas afines que aprecian esta forma de vida y comparten mi misma pasión.
Para mi contribución a Blockparty Strasbourg, decidí crear una pieza dentro de mi serie "BubleSkull". Para esta ocasión utilicé una referencia echa por mi donde la luz ilumina de manera interna toda la calavera. La fusioné con unas letras 3D que le dan movimiento y completan la visión final.
